A first French singles title at the Orleans Masters

Here we are! Finally !

A Frenchman won the singles of the Orleans Masters ! Congratulations to Toma Junior Popov who will remain the first Frenchman to win at the Palais des Sports since the tournament became international. Two years after the mixed title of D. Delrue and T. Gicquel, it is a great news for the French bad.

After an XXL course, Tomi offered himself the scalp of the surprising Danish Mads Christophersen, this Sunday. However, he was the one who made the best impression at the beginning of the match, but many errors at the end of the set, leaving Tomi in the game. And better, he reversed the trend in the very last moments to finally win 23-21.

A completely different scenario in the second set where the Frenchman took the lead from the start. Aggressive and more percussive, Popov didn't let go of anything and went on to a prestigious win at home.
Final score: 23-21, 21-13.
