A very nice victory of Toma Junior Popov on the SAARLORLUX OPEN 2020 in three sets, 22-20 19-21 21-14, against Dutchman Mark Caljouw (seeded 3 in this tournament). The Frenchmen Anne Tran and Ronan Labar also thrilled us with their fantastic third place. Also noteworthy was the excellent performance of Kirsty Gilmour, winner of the Orléans Masters in 2017 and finalist in 2019. She won her semi-final at the SAARLORLUX OPEN 2020 against three-time world champion Carolina Marin 22-20 21-14. She won the final, 21-10 21-17, against German Yvonne LI.
