On 6 July 2022, the Orléans Masters Badminton thank-you evening took place at the FRAC (Fond Régional d'Art Contemporain) in Orléans.
Franck LAURENT, president of the tournament, thanked all the partners, political players, media, volunteers and members of the event's steering committee. They all contributed to the success of the event and its international media coverage.
It was also the occasion to announce that the tournament was moving from the Super 100 to the Super 300 level. Since last March, the organising committee has been working with the help of various partners on the bid file proposed by the BWF. On June 18th, during the Indonesian Open (Super 500), the international federation revealed the list of the HSBC BWF World Tour tournaments for the 2023-2026 season. The Orléans Masters is now part of the club of the 30 biggest tournaments in the world. Note that beyond the change of BWF logo, this increase of level increases the price money to be won by the players. It is the opportunity to welcome players from the TOP 15 in the world (TOP 40 in Super 100) but also to offer a higher standard of experience for players and spectators.
Finally, this evening was an opportunity for everyone to take advantage of the exhibitions proposed in the Turbulence Gallery. Among others, the exhibitions "Paysages du Design" and "Guy Rottier, l'architecture libre" were visited.
The 2023 edition is already in full preparation. The whole Orleans Masters team is waiting for you to come in even greater numbers to offer you an even greater show !
