A first for the Palais des Sports as the Korean women's doubles team of Kim and Kong (seeded No.6) claimed the first title for the ‘Land of the Morning Calm’ in Orléans. The leaders of the World Tour rankings defeated their compatriots and world No. 1 Baek/Lee in an exceptional final, 21-18, 23-21. Despite two set points against them, Kim Hye Jeong and Kong Hee Yong gave nothing away and were able to celebrate after 55 minutes of great entertainment.
