A look back at the evening presentation of the draw for the Orléans Masters 2022 !

On Wednesday 16 March 2022, the evening of the presentation of the Draw for the Orléans Masters took place. For the occasion, about fifty people were present at the famous Hotêl Groslot (elected officials, organisers, volunteers, fans, etc.) to attend the last step before the launch of the 2022 edition.

A very instructive evening as Cyrille GOMBROWICZ, Deputy National Technical Director of the FFBAD and Cédric GROSJEAN, Development Manager of the Centre Val de Loire Badminton League were also present. They gave us their first impression of the final draw and made some predictions about the chances of the French.

Women's singles :

The 4 main seeds Michelle Li, Lianne TAN, Line HOJMARK and Iris WANG belong to the Top 40 of the world. A high table where we should not miss the performance of the French, seeded 7, Qi XUE FEI, French champion 2022.

Men's singles :

Same observation, the 4 main seeds Sai PRANEETH, Mark CALJOUW, Hans-Kristian Solberg VITTINGHUS and the French Toma Junior POPOV also belong to the Top 50 of the world. We will have to watch the young French champion Christo POPOV who could play the spoilsport in this draw.

Women's doubles :

In this draw, if nothing seems to stop the sisters Gabriela and Stefani STOEVA (world number 9), we will have to watch out for the German number 2 seed Isabel LOHAU / Linda EFLER and the Scottish Julie MACPHERSON / Ciara TORRANCE (number 3 seed).

Of course, we will have to follow very closely the performances of the French champions 2022 Margot LAMBERT and Anne TRAN.

Men's doubles :

The Men's Doubles draw will undoubtedly be very closely followed during this 2022 edition as the French 2022 French champions, Christo and Toma Junior POPOV are seeded number 2; while the French Fabien DELRUE and William VILLEGER will be seeded number 4.

The Germans Mark LAMSFUSS and Marvin SEIDEL, seeded number 1 (number 16 in the world) will be very formidable, as will the Scots, seeded number 3, Adam HALL and Alexander DUNN.

Mixed doubles :

Finally, in the Mixed Doubles, the French, number 12 in the world, Thom GICQUEL and Delphine DELRUE take without surprise the top seed of the draw. However, they will have their work cut out for them as the second and third seeds of the tournament, Isabel LOHAU / Mark LAMSFUSS (GER) and Mikkel MIKKELSEN / Rikke SOBY ( DAN ), also belong to the world's top 50.

There is no doubt that the French pair, William VILLEGER and Anne TRAN, will play their cards right in this draw.
