The mixed doubles final at the Orléans Masters Badminton tournament was won by the French pair Thom GICQUEL and Delphine DELRUE, ranked 5th in the world.


They defeated the Danish duo Mathias CHRISTIANSEN and Alexandra BøJE in two sets, 21–19, 21–13.
The first set was closely contested, but the French pair managed to gain the upper hand in the final rallies to close it out 21-19.


In the second set, GICQUEL and DELRUE quickly took control of the match and secured their victory 21-13, bringing another French title to Orléans.


This victory underscores the French pair’s consistency on the world tour.

The women’s singles final at the Orléans Masters Badminton tournament went in favor of Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara, a former world No. 1, who defeated Thailand’s Pitchamon Opatniputh in straight sets, 21–15, 21–15.


Playing solidly throughout the match, Okuhara quickly took control of the rallies to win the first set 21-15.

The Japanese player then maintained her pace in the second set to close out the match with the same score and claim the title in Orléans.


This third final of the day further adds to the list of winners in this 32nd edition ahead of the final matches of the day.

The men's doubles final at the Orléans Masters Badminton tournament saw a victory for the Chinese pair HU Ke Yuan and LIN Xiang Yi, who defeated the Japanese duo Hiroki OKAMURA and Kyohei YAMASHITA in two sets, 21–19, 21–14.


The match began with a closely contested first set, in which the two pairs traded points back and forth. HU Ke Yuan and LIN Xiang Yi ultimately made the difference in the final rallies to take the lead 21-19. Playing more consistently in the second set, the Chinese pair then pulled ahead to close out the match 21-14 and claim the title in Orléans.

 

Following the victory of Japan’s Sumire NAKADE and Miyu TAKAHASHI in the women’s doubles in the first final of the day, the Chinese pair HU Ke Yuan and LIN Xiang Yi thus complete the list of winners for this 32nd edition of the Orléans Masters Badminton.

The first final of the day at the Orléans Masters Badminton crowned Japanese players Sumire Nakade and Miyu Takahashi as champions of the 32nd edition in the women’s doubles draw.

Facing Chinese Taipei’s Lin Chih-Chun and Yang Chu Yun, the Japanese pair ultimately clinched the title after a hard-fought three-set final (22-20, 12-21, 21-18).

The first set, which was very close, went in favor of Sumire NAKADE and Miyu TAKAHASHI, who managed to make the difference in the final points. The Chinese Taipei players then responded perfectly in the second set, tying the match by winning 21-12.

In an intense third set, the Japanese players finally gained the upper hand to close out
the match 21-18 and win the final. They thus claimed the first trophy of the final day and added their names to the list of champions for this 32nd edition.
