It was at the Palais des Sports in Orléans during a match against Luis Enrique PEÑALVER that he put an end to his long and intense international career. He will only have this Sunday, during his last interclub match, to enjoy the court.

For her first match, the three-time world champion and Spanish Olympic champion had no difficulty in ousting the best Danish player of the moment: Line CHRISTOPHERSEN, 21-9, 21-18.

The qualifications have just finished at the Palais des Sports. While waiting for the start of the main round, here are the qualifiers.

In men's singles, the qualifiers are Lan Xi LEI (CHI), Felix BURESTEDT (SUE), Jun Hao LEONG (MAL) and the Frenchman Alex LANIER.

Ester Nurumi Tri WARDOYO (IND), Neslihan YIGIT (TUR), Fang Jie GAO (CHI) and the French Rosy Oktavia PANCASARI qualify in women's singles.

In the men's doubles, the pairs LUNDGAARD/VESTERGAARD (POL), CHEN/LIU (CHI), BOON/WONG (MAL) and LIN/SU (TPE) are qualified for the main draw.

The same goes for the pairs EA/SOMERVILLE (AUS), DE WIT/TIRTOSENTONO (PB), NG/ZHANG (CAN), LIU/TANG (CHI) in women's doubles, who will meet again on Thursday for the round of 16.

In mixed doubles, the qualifiers are VOELKER/KUESPERT (GER), PRATHEEK.K/CRASTO (IND), CHIU/LIN (TPE) and PO/CHANG (TPE).

On this Tuesday 4th April 2023, the Orléans Masters Badminton presented by Victor starts with the qualification phases for a large number of players and the first round of men's and women's doubles this afternoon. Some French players will be on the court during this first day like Alex LANIER in men's singles, the men's pair Lucas CORVÉE and Ronan LABAR and the women's pair Margot LAMBERT and Anne TRAN.

Throughout the week, you will be able to follow all the matches live on our website. Some matches will be commented by Raphaël SACHETAT and Cédric GROSJEAN so that you can enjoy the live coverage as if you were at the Palais des Sports in Orléans. The finals will be broadcasted on L'EquipeLive.tv this Sunday, April 9th.
