Japan takes center stage at this year’s Masters!
All four finalists in the singles events are from the "Land of the Rising Sun," ensuring a Japanese double victory just like in 2019.
In the men’s singles, Yushi Tanaka (ranked 60th in the world) caused another upset by defeating the Chinese favorite Lei Lan Xi with scores of 19-21, 21-19, 21-15. Tanaka had previously knocked out Alex Lanier. He will face Koo Takahashi (ranked 70th), who comfortably beat the 5th seed from Taipei, Chi Yu Jen, with scores of 21-19, 21-12.
