Orléans International Challenge 2017 is launched… and well launched

The first day reserved for the qualifications has already offered its share of emotions to the public who came in large numbers, filling the bays of the Sports hall.

On the tricolor side, only the INSEP resident Katia Normand managed to pass the qualifications.
For the others, and the locals, there was unfortunately no miracle.
The logic of the classification prevailed and despite the hopes placed in the young shoots of tricolor badminton (Toma Junior Popov, Léonice Huet, Arnaud Merkle), nobody came to create a surprise.

Among the favorites, the Malaysian Jia Wei Tan, winner of the Polish Open last week, qualified not without difficulty, while the Taiwanese Jen Chi, and the Indonesian Haryanto/Isfahani in men's doubles, did not tremble.

They join the big draw which starts tomorrow at 9 am.

And some clashes will be very interesting to follow in the morning, with many French chances, especially in the doubles draw.
