Famous Orleans tournament heads shone at the Scottish Open Grand Prix. (22-26 November).
To begin with, Frenchman Lucas Corvée (finalist SH 2017) lost in the final against Toby Penty (1/32nd final SH 2017) by a score of 21/14 24/22. In the semi-final, the Frenchman had however beaten Mark Caljouw in three sets, in a remake of the final of the International Challenge of Orleans 2017.
Scottish Kirsty Glamour, winner of SD 2017, won the tournament at home at the expense of Mia Blichfeldt. (23/21 21/12). Beatriz Corrales, winner of the women's singles in Orleans in 2013 and 2014, lost in the semi-finals to Blichfeldt.
In men's doubles, the Maas/Tabeling pair (quarter-final in Orléans in 2017) beat another Dutch pair Arends/Jille (1/16th final in 2017) in two sets. (21/11 21/15).
On the French side, Bastian Kersaudy (finalist DH 2014) lost in the semi-final of the men's double with Julien Maio. He also lost in the quarter-final of the mixed doubles with Léa Palermo.(finalist DD 2016 and 2017).
