In women's singles, the French Qi XUEFEI had to face, during her first match, a pain in her left knee, preventing her from moving properly. Our Frenchwoman lost against the Vietnamese NGUYEN. (21/11 - 21/11 ) However, in her second match, she was able to recover and win against the Swiss Sabrina JAQUET. (21/10 - 21/14) This gain in confidence will be necessary for her to face the world number one Tai Tzu Ying in her next match.
His compatriot, Brice LEVEERDEZ, present in group M, will start the competition tomorrow by facing the Ukrainian POCHTAROV.
